I am no longer taking photos of all classes during race days and offering post round photo requests. You may pre-book a package with me prior to the round to capture some awesome photos for you. The main reason for this change is workflow, storage and quality control. Searching back through thousands of images after an race day to locate individual riders as request come in is extremely time consuming, especially while also editing and delivering galleries for other people/projects. 

 

Pre-bookings allow me to intentionally focus on specific riders throughout the day and ensure I capture enough high-quality content to match the package purchased. To make this work properly, each package has a limited number of rider spots available per class. Once those spots are filled, bookings for that class will close for the round.

PHOTO QUALITY & SELECTION POLICY:

I shoot all images in RAW format. For those unfamiliar with photography, RAW files are essentially unfinished image files. Straight out of camera, RAW images can appear flat, dull, soft or slightly grainy. This is completely normal. The benefit of shooting in RAW is that it captures the maximum amount of detail, colour and dynamic range, which allows me to create a high-quality, professionally edited final product.

I do not provide photo selection or proof galleries/previews. Managing individual selection on this scale is not practical within my workflow and would significantly impact the time required to deliver galleries to all clients. For fairness, consistency, and to protect my creative process, I personally select the strongest images for each rider based on focus, composition, action, and overall quality.

This process also protects my work and editing style. Unedited RAW files are not an accurate reflection of my final product and are not shared or distributed in order to maintain the integrity of my work. Photography is both a creative and time-intensive craft for me. A large part of the final result comes from the editing process, where I enhance light, colour and depth to produce the finished images you see in my portfolio.
